Type 3 dust tight, rain tight and sleet resistant, indoor and outdoor: At NewCom, we make all our NEMA 3 UL Listed enclosures to the highest standard.  This means our NEMA 3, 3R and 3RX enclosures all protect against wind-blown dust and water with continuously welded seams and gasketed covers. Hinge cover or lift off cover 3R and 3RX enclosures will have a drip shield.  Materials include mild steel (3), galvanized steel (3R), stainless steel and aluminum (3RX).  Cover types include screw cover, hinge cover and lift off style.  Pad mount NEMA 3 enclosures are permitted to have an open bottom.
